holiday pictures

Thought I would post pictures from the holiday. The first (la prima) indicates my need for gelato in order to bear the time until seeing Eclipse. The next one is my "crazed Twilight" face and indeed, I look a bit giddy. The next two shots show a calmer Chiara, post-Eclipse. It was worth it though I'm glad I had those ear plugs with me, Dad - the theater was extremely loud!

After the movie I hung out at Piazza del Popolo, one of my favorite piazzas - it feels like the main entrance to Rome, and Sunday night it felt like Rome's family room. Everyone spilled out of the theater and I heard the sound of an excellent street saxophonist. Even better, two little dancing babies entertained us with their surprisingly good rhythm (and ability to stay upright). There were many children out at night (this was past 10pm). I like the idea of kids hanging out with their families when the families are awake, though there was a bit of fussing that made me think "that child is asking to go to bed". Of course, I was on my Twilight high and didn't come down until after midnight!
